Long-term Dissertation Research of Northern Bearded Saki (Chiropotes sagulatus) Ecology and Behavior

Tremaine Gregory will be studying bearded saki ranging behavior, habitat use patterns, and group dynamics. She has been working in Brownsberg since 2003, completing her Master’s thesis in 2006 on the behavioral ecology and evolution of Guianan Shield Pitheciins (bearded and white-faced sakis).

Andrew Ritchie is studying constraints on seed selection by bearded sakis, with special emphasis on nutritional and non-nutritional chemical characteristics of fruits and seeds.
