Worldwide loss of biodiversity has increased dramatically during the past few decades as a result of human activities. This loss of biodiversity is threatening important ecosystem processes such as pollination and seed dispersal which in turn may have far-reaching consequences for plant communities. Therefore, determining how biodiversity dynamics and ecosystem processes interact in the face of human impact remains a challenge.
