Following the last General Meeting of the Flora of the Guianas (FoG) Project in Berlin in August 2006, the next meeting will be hosted at Anton de Kom University of Suriname Paramaribo and will run in parallel to the ATBC meeting. The meeting will take place on the 11th June. The General Meeting will be preceded by a Board Meeting. Board members will give presentations concerning plants and plant conservation in the Guianas. The meeting will be preceded by a botanical collecting trip to the Bakhuis area outside the mine concession organised by Caroline Rahan-Chin, (ADEKUS) with logistic support from the mining companies.
