ATBC and Africa
"We remain poorly represented by African ecologists and conservationists" wrote Jaboury Ghazoul in last editorial of Biotropica 40, p. 1-2 (2008). While we are seeking for fund to invite African colleagues to attend ATBC meetings, while we'll have presentations about tropical African ecosystems at ATBC2008 in Suriname, especially by members of the BIOTA project (figure beside), we can't forget the numerous difficuties today encountered by our colleagues in Africa, especially in Kenya.
