Intense rainfall in the Guianas during early days of 2008
After the floods observed last week in Indonesia, inundations may be now observed in the Guianas due to intense rainfall in the forthcoming days. See the NASA web site. See also accumulated precipitations for 2007 at NOAA website. Note that in Guyane (#2), for instance (figure below), observed rainfall was overall lower than normal in 2007 with a long dry season in August-November which is far from normality in the region.
