it is difficult to imagine that we, the colleagues of Dr. Marc van Roosmalen are preparing the Annual ATBC Meeting in Suriname while the author of the first monography of the spider monkey Ateles paniscus and the author of the Book Fruits of the Guiana Flora, is in a dirty jail in Manaus, Brazil. Marc has dedicated his professional life to tropical biology and conservation of the rainforest of the Guianas and the Amazon Rainforest overall. Free Marc van Roosmalen.
