Scientists may have several lifes at once. François Feer is mostly known as a tropical ecologist, a specialist of Duikers, Elephant and large seeds in Central Africa, of Pecaris, Howler-monkey, Dung beetles, Rats and medium-to-minute seeds in tropical America. He's also the illustrator of Emmon & Feer's Neotropical Mammal Field Guide, of this website. He's also a writer, and a poet. He's publishing his personal approach of the Amazonian fauna in Bestiaire Amazonien, mostly based on his studies in French Guiana at Nouragues.
