The Annual Meeting of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation
ATBC2008 ended on 13th evening at Torarica Hotel with a banquet at the tennis court (entirely covered with tents) and a multi-cultural dancing party at the Marina. During a week, more than 500 participants from 200 institutions from nearly 50 countries attended the annual meeting of the Association for Tropical Biology and Conservation. Despite difficulties while travelling and delays while commuting at Port-of-Spain in Trinidad, flight cancellations, lack of visa, boarding failure, most of the
registered fellows were present in Suriname. Many of them have discovered nature and culture for the first time at various Reserves and Parks in Suriname, before, during and after the conference, tours being organized by Access Suriname Travel, or by individual participants themselves. To all, THANK YOU from the organizers, and we wish to see you again in Suriname. Here below, some of the participants at Witi Creek trail, Brownsberg Nature Park, 15 June 2008.
