Category 5 Hurricane DEAN hits Central America
The category 5 hurricane DEAN is hitting Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. We have friendly thoughts for our colleagues who organized the recent ATBC meeting in Morelia, Mexico, and for the people of these countries. The number of hurricanes per year has increased in the last 50 years, and the season started earlier in 2007. Is it related to global warming and deforestation of tropical rainforests?
