News about tropical rainforest at Mongabay.com
The website of the month is Mongabay.com. Rhett Butler and Jeremy Hance will both attend ATBC2008. Mongabay.com is where you can read and learn more about the most recent information, good and bad, about tropical rainforests. Recently, breaking news were quite sad. But, other news emerged offering us some hope in the future. One is about the restauration of the rainforest for the conservation of Chimpanzees in Nyungwe National Park, Rwanda (below), the other is about log export ban by 2010 in Paouasie New Guinea (PNG). The annual ATBC meeting is the event where you'll meet scientists and hear about their studies in these regions.
