Rainforest in French Guiana, a threatened treasure
Hubert Reeves, the well known astrophysician and President of the NGO for the preservation of wildlife Ligue ROC, proclames that the French Goverment is doing little to limit devastation of the forest and rivers in French Guiana by (legal/illegal) goldmining activities and unregulated hunting, and to protect the culture of indigenous people and their sustainable use of the tropical ecosystems.
