Annual Meeting of the Society for Tropical Ecology
The ATBC President is attending the annual meeting of the Society for Tropical Ecology (GTÖ) at University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany between 18-22 February 2008. Founded in 1987, STE (GTÖ) is the largest scientific association in the field of tropical ecology in Europe. Annual conference provides an international platform for the exchange of current scientific ideas and helps promote the establishment of collaborations between members and attending guests. The STE (GTÖ) is especially keen to foster junior research and equitable cooperation projects. Welcome to the website of the STE, formerly GTÖ. The Vice-president of STE (GTÖ) and Editor of ECOTROPICA, Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Kalko will be plenary speaker at ATBC2008. STE (GTÖ) members are also contributing to the organization of the ATBC2008 meeting, symposia and educational courses. In late July 2009, STE (GTÖ) and ATBC will have their annual joined meeting at University of Marburg, Germany, between 26-30 July 2009.
