Science works for peace between people
ATBC meetings are forum which contribute to peace between people. When attending ATBC2008, we should remember that the Kenyan Wangari Maathai received the Novel Peace Prize in 2004 for her contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace. Last year, the prize was divided equally between Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr., for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change. Today, these issues are of major concern during ATBC meetings. Please, donate to ATBC2008 in order to help us to invite people from the tropics to attend ATBC meeting, thus to contribute to Peace in their respective countries.
