Registration Fees

Fees are for fellows of non-profit scientific institutions. If you are a commercial organization, from the private sector, or from a govermental agency or Ministry, please contact the organizers at atbc2008@yahoo.com before registration.

The registration fee will cover conference materials, receptions, lunches, and coffee breaks, and ATBC banquet. Participants from non-profit scientific institutions established in countries with high income pay the normal fee (see below). Participants from country not defined as with high income (according to the definitions of the World Bank) and students will have the privilege to pay a reduced registration fee of 50 %.

Participants from the University of Suriname have up to 75% discount in relation to the agreement signed between ATBC2008 and the Anton de Kom University of Suriname.

We are asking participants with high income from International scientific institutions (ie. STRI in Panama, CIFOR in Indonesia, IRD or CIRAD-foręt, ...) and various NGOs (i.e. CI, WWF, Tropenbos International, ...) established in less-developed countries to pay the normal fee. Donation is also encouraged to support participants with lower income (see below).

Cancellation policy

For meeting registration, cancellations received on or before 14 April 2008

The ATBC goes carbon-neutral

Following a concensus vote from the ATBC members at the ATBC 2007 Morelia meeting to make future carbon-offset costs obligatory, a contribution of €15 from each individual travelling from outside the host country, and €3 from each person for in-country delegates is now included in the conference registration fees to offset our emissions of carbon produced by air flights and other activities directly linked to the annual ATBC meeting.
